Luxury vinyl flooring is a remarkable mimic of natural materials, such as wood, stone, or tile. It's so stylish we're seeing it in every room of the house, and in some very high-end residences at that.
Stylish affordability
Vinyl floors certainly aren't what you may remember from years ago.? Thanks to technology, they have evolved into one of the most fashionable and, yet, budget-friendly materials. Images are taken with 3D photography, so they're clear and vibrant; you'll see every knot, grain, veining, and wormhole.? Colors are bright and bold.Technology has also given us deep embossing so the floors have a textured appearance, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed.? Finishes come in matte, gloss, or high gloss.
Vinyl, especially when in its luxury form, isn't just for the kitchen and bath anymore.? Many use it in living and dining spaces, home libraries, entrance foyers, sunrooms, playrooms, and more. All vinyl is waterproof, so it can be used in any grade, such as the basement.
Because it is available in so many colors, species, patterns, and designs, you can follow any trend. If you want a farmhouse/rustic or barn door kitchen atmosphere, a marble-look bathroom floor to go with your spa atmosphere, or a colorful and fun retro look for the playroom, you can have it all with this material.
What are LVT and LVP?
The vinyl can be cut into groutable tile-sized pieces (LVT) or planks (LVP) to heighten the resemblance of hardwood. Planks made by cutting vinyl into strips and then mounting them on boards to resemble hardwood.?Although most associated with hardwood, some people also use vinyl planks for stone looks because of the larger format/fewer seams which give a more continuous look.
The tile-sized pieces create a design and since grout comes in a large color palette, you can get creative.
Other benefits include durability.? This is a layered product with a clear, aluminum-oxide sheet at the top that protects against scratches and scuffs.? Spills sit at the surface, so they wipe off easily.? All that?s needed for regular maintenance is a frequent sweeping and periodic mopping.
Installation is fast and easy with a click-and-lock floating floor method.
